Pros
Great coworkers and helpful managers, manageable workload given every shift
Cons
There are no flexible hours for each shift
Pros
* Job stability. * Decent pay in proportion to amount of workload. * Great training modules. * Lifting mindset. * Great shift transitions between managers and their respective teams for day, night and evening shifts.
Cons
* Shop lifters are a major headache. * A lot of redundant work and repetition of tasks.
Pros
If you are desperate for a job this is one?
Cons
1. Only 1-2 members of staff per shift. 2. Training is done through online courses that you do on a tablet while checking people out at register and if you dont keep touching the tablet it goes to sleep and you have to relogin and restart the course each time. 3. Youre told not to be behind the counter when checking people out that you must swing your screen around and check them out from the front. But if they require change you then have to walk around anyway and get the change. 4. They want you to ask every customer if they have the rewards card and if they dont you are suppose to push then to self serve where you still have to check them out while they are complaining. 5. Schedule is up and down meaning if youre a FT 40hr a week associate you still may only get 20hrs due to the store not having enough hours to employ everyone they have properly. Also you will be schedule a morning shift then a night and a morning and then a night again back to back which does jot allow you to sleep much maybe 4-5hrs a day. 6. And do not count on HR doing anything to help with any issues because the way they resolve stuff is by calling your direct boss and doing a three way call thus you are then targeted the next day. What a joke of a company. Cant wait till they shut down.
Pros
1. Good entry-level healthcare experience It’s a great way to get your foot into the medical field, especially if you’re thinking about nursing, pharmacy, or other healthcare careers. 2. On-the-job training (even with no experience) CVS often trains you and helps you work toward certification, so you don’t need a medical background to start. 3. Flexible scheduling Many employees mention flexible hours, which is helpful if you’re in school or balancing family responsibilities. 4. Opportunities for career growth You can move into higher roles (lead tech, pharmacist path, or other healthcare positions) or transfer into different pharmacy settings. 5. You learn valuable skills You build customer service, attention to detail, and medical knowledge—all useful and transferable skills.
Cons
1. High stress and fast pace Pharmacies can get extremely busy, especially during peak hours, flu season, or staffing shortages. You’re often multitasking nonstop. 2. Difficult customers You deal with frustrated patients (insurance issues, long wait times, medication costs). That can be emotionally draining day after day. 3. Standing for long hours Most of your shift is on your feet with very little downtime, which can be physically tiring. 4. Relatively low pay for the workload For the responsibility (handling medications, accuracy, customer service), many techs feel the pay doesn’t fully match the stress level. 5. Strict metrics and pressure from management CVS uses performance metrics (wait times, calls, vaccinations, etc.), which can make the job feel more like hitting numbers than focusing on patient
Pros
Flexible job, Could take time off but would not get paid
Cons
Low pay, fast pace, other employees staying at one station their whole shift while others are forced to do everything else
Pros
Enjoyed working with co workers
Cons
Horrific cutting of payroll hours in the past two years makes accomplishing anything nearly impossible. Dangerous when only one employee has to face shoplifters, etc. at night. Upper management has ridiculous time wasting initiatives that take away from sales and customer service when they are supposed to be enhancing it.
Pros
Decent benefits is about the only thing.
Cons
No family life/work balance. Not flexible at all. Unreasonable metrics expectations. Management turns over every year or two, with new managers having an ego trip. Very low retention Gridlocked into the role you get hired into for UR as they are always short staffed you can't ever go anywhere else. Mandatory holidays They just started making weekends mandatory. Also making a night rotation mandatory for any nurse hired after October 2024. Remote into your station to monitor your screen for a period of time for any violations of heart at work behaviors or anything else the manager has an ego trip about. Talking to a coworker on teams and venting - that is not exhibiting heart at work behaviors - FIRED Taking too long in a case or mindlessly clicking around in the clinical for too long - FIRED.
Pros
Customer service experience is very valuable and it helps us to understand the behaviours of consumers.
Cons
The shift has multiple times throughout the day in which it gets immobile, inactive at times.
Pros
friendly workers on shift no micromanaging
Cons
none good job starting .
Pros
Time shift daytime will adjust schedule accordingly
Cons
Cutting hours is happening a lot recently .even in the busiest stores not giving enough hours and expect to do a lot
