      - Good Benefits (Discounts with partners and good insurance options) -Decent learning environment for Tech Newbies depending on the store they put you in

      Cons

      Lead Techs (Assistant Managers) are expected to do everything in the store, including all the difficult repairs, inventory, buybacks, and sales. They are expected to act as the Store Lead (Manager) but don't get paid like it. The people that Asurion hires make no sense. It is a Tech repair/Tech Insurance company, and they hired a mattress sales person as a district manager, a 60-year-old man as a store lead who can't repair anything or do 90% of the Store lead responsibilities, As you can probably tell, I am very frustrated with this company I once loved. I used to come into work every day of the week to support my store. Now I am looking for new places to go. Also, In terms of learning, Beyond cell phone repair, everything is self taught.

      Pros

      Pay was good, lots of free/down time, good benefits, stock option, and 401k was spectacular, great co workers

      Cons

      No clear vision of the company, terrible with business decisions, rapidly losing money, 85% sales focused, 15% repair and customer focused. Not flexible with scheduling even for religious reasons. No growth for employees looking to move up.

      The acceptance letter never mentioned sales. The description of the position was to drive to people’s home and provide them with a five star experience by setting up their replacement phones. Nothing about sales. Now the focus is on sales and experts are using every sales tactic bad and good to get the home protection sale. Experts are lying to get a sale. Not only that but also have to sell Verizon 5g and Fios to eligible customers plus accessories, upgrades and new lines. We only have 23 mins to spend with the customers. Routing is so bad that we can’t take our breaks properly otherwise more than one job will be late and it’s not fair to these customers. Operations need to focus on the above.
