Service Engineer (Medical Devices)

About Us

We are a leading medical device trading company in Hong Kong, specializing in high-end surgical equipment, operating theatre (OT) systems, ENT & Spine instruments. We are seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to support our hospital partners and ensure the flawless execution of life-saving surgical technologies.

The Role

You will be the primary technical expert responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and repair of our medical device portfolio. You will provide critical technical support within operating theatres, surgical departments, and day clinics across Hong Kong.

Job Requirement:

• Education: Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronic Engineering

• Experience: at least 4 years of hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining medical equipment

• Clinical Familiarity: Comfortable working independently within sterile, high-pressure operating room environments

• Certifications: Candidates with recognized biomedical equipment technician (BMET) certifications or manufacturer training will be highly prioritized

• Language: Fluent in Cantonese and English

• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, exceptionally precise, safety-conscious, and possessing strong communication skills for interaction with medical staff

• Immediate availability or a shorter notice period preferred due to active service contracts

Job Duties:

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance, calibration, and safety testing on medical equipment

• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues on-site at hospitals and clinics

• Installation & Commissioning: Deliver, install, and configure new medical devices, ensuring compliance with strict safety standards

• Pre-Surgery Checks: Perform meticulous safety and functional testing to guarantee equipment readiness prior to clinical procedures

• Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service reports, maintenance logs, and spare parts inventory

• User Training: Provide operational and basic maintenance training to nurses and hospital biomedical technicians on proper equipment operation and care

• Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team by providing technical demonstrations and pre-sales evaluations

• On-Call Support: Provide urgent technical support for emergency repairs
