Garment technical Designer

Our client is a premium apparel brands and they are actively looking for a Garment technical designer to join their Hong Kong Office.

• Prior experience as a fashion designer would be an asset.
• Solid experience in garment technical design is required.
• Experience in sportswear products is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities:
Evaluate sample construction from multiple aspects, offering solutions and clarifying technical concerns related to fit and grading issues, while providing comments and pattern alterations.

Communicate with the vendor’s tech and production teams to ensure understanding of requested corrections and execute samples accurately. Maintain consistency in product fit and construction across all countries and factories.

Conduct product risk assessments on adopted styles.

Provide technical and quality support both internally and at factories.

Review and approve fabric physical and chemical testing, garment testing, and finalize care label details.

Review and approve inspection reports.

Requirements:
Diploma or higher in Textile, Clothing, or a related field.

Proven experience with sportswear products is an advantage.

Prior experience as a fashion designer would be an asset.

Background in technical design roles within the apparel industry

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

Proficient in both written and spoken English, Chinese and Mandarin.
