About the Role
We are partnering with a leading financial technology platform to hire a DevOps Engineer to support and evolve its cloud infrastructure and automation practices.
The organization operates a cloud-native, microservices-based platform on AWS , serving financial institutions in the structured products and wealth management space. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working across infrastructure, automation, and cloud operations in a fast-paced environment.
You will take ownership of DevOps practices, improve deployment pipelines, strengthen system reliability, and support secure, scalable infrastructure operations.
- Key Responsibilities Manage and enhance AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices
- Support and optimize Kubernetes (EKS) environments for microservices
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform / Ansible
- Improve CI/CD pipelines for Java-based microservices
- Strengthen system monitoring, alerting, and observability
- Support production incidents and perform root cause analysis
- Drive improvements in scalability, performance, and reliability
- Contribute to security best practices and infrastructure hardening
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams on automation initiatives
- Participate in technical discussions with stakeholders where required
- Requirements 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (preferably EKS)
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or Ansible)
- Strong Linux system administration skills
- Scripting experience in Python, Go, or Bash
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
- Fluent in English.
- Nice to Have Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices and cloud security
- AWS certification
- Experience working in small, agile engineering teams
- Exposure to audit, compliance, or client-facing technical discussions
- Networking knowledge (VPNs, firewalls, hybrid cloud environments)
Base pay range
The minimum salary is HK$40,000 and the max salary is HK$60,000.
