Data Analyst

The role requires a person who is creative and passionate, and willing to challenge the status quo by helping the organisation find efficient and effective solutions that support business processes and decision making. We are looking for an individual with experience using a variety of data visualisation tools and analysis methods used to turn data into actionable insights with demonstrated business impact.

Purpose of the job

To create a central governance competency to reduce risks, create efficiencies, maximise the return on data management efforts within the business and to ensure Data solution applications incorporate industry standards and best practices that will enable the business to do self-service data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Define user/business data requirements.

• Acquire, combine and transform data from various sources into interpretable datasets.

• Interpret data, analyse results using statistical/analytical techniques and provide ongoing reports.

• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

• Develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards.

• Test and validate solutions in accordance with specification and user requirements.

• Visualise data using appropriate tools.

• Data management and governance in terms of data protection, compliance, retention, archiving guidelines, data standards etc.

• System Improvement delivery.

• Training /Knowledge acquisition and transfer.
