Pros

Fellow employees are friendly and helpful (except for the so called “Leadership team”)

Cons

1. The leadership team as they refer to, is a bunch of people who have never led teams in the past. And no surprises, they possess 0 people skills, are very rude and deep into dirty politics. 2. In 2023, 10-15% of their employees were laid off. Having spoken to some of those people, the SAME pattern was followed before laying off. If they laid you off for performance issues, they would do that without implementing a PIP and without informing/warning you of your performance issues and what it could eventually lead to. 3.As soon as the manager knows that you are better than them at your job and possibly are more influential on the other managers and colleagues, they will fire you. The manager will swiftly convince the CEO and others that they can cover up for your work and you will be let go. And guess what, your replacement will join in just a few weeks/days after your departure. Basically they will “constructively dismiss” you when the time comes. And that could even be after being with them for year(s). 4.The CEO is a useless person who is wowed by some stupid managers and cannot see the reality of their actions. 5.There is no scope for growth - vertical or horizontal. 6.The HR has no say and will always clear the leadership’s side and guess thats because they are scared to lose their job as well? They will empathize with your issues if any but then conveniently use those things against you. Again - 0 experience in the past being the head of people and culture. 7.Payscale way lower than the market Only join this company if you have no other choice.

Egocentric organizational structure Smart employee manipulation Clever misleading assurances to create a false sense of support. Sneaky business tactics that prioritize executives’ interests over fairness

Cons

This company is the definition of a toxic, narcissistic workplace. Consider yourself like a use and throw pen, you will be rushed to finish your project after which you are done, So called 'permanent position' is a lie in their job descriptions. Your time and efforts won't have meaning. Unethical practice is at its highest, don't think of this as a Canadian company, it's a south american company with every single higher up having massive ego issues. I remember the CFO firing a sales guy because he was doing better than him and was posting about it on linkedin so he can advance his connections. They have a phony end of the year award ceremony where all of the founders just vote for each other, give themselves more money for stupid awards such as best shoe collector or a level-headed person. like what? The south amercian workers are aware of it all but gets exploited anyway for work permit sponsorship so they can come to Canada, leading them to tolerate very unfair practices. I remember them paying a young brilliant developer who worked tirelessly only 1100$ a month because they weren't from Canada and had no clue what's a fair salary is,
