Pros

Core Value: Partner Powered Plusgrade does not have customer, it has partners and it’s because of this bond Plusgrade is able to make an impact to the economy. That’s why there is a vast catalogue of products, programs or opportunities that’s its hard to keep up. Core Value: Be Hungry A software engineer / developer at Plusgrade is empowered to keep innovating and their contribution propagates to the company products and tools. That’s why it’s not uncommon that plusgraders have a sense of ownership on the outcome of their creation. Core Value: Better Together Plusgrade has always been a company that puts people’s names before their titles and it remains like this to this day with cross-team collaboration, inner source projects or helpfulness from plusgraders that are either ELTs, VPs, directors… you name it because the treatment will be the same.

Cons

The "con" really depends on who you are. If you like to blend into the background and just do your hours without much pressure, you'll struggle here because ownership and accountability are genuinely expected, not just buzzwords. The flip side of moving fast and staying innovative is that tech debt is real and the work never fully stops.

Pros

Working at Plusgrade has been the only time I've never felt the need to look at the clock and count down the hours till the work day is over. It offers a very fast paced, fun environment, with lots of opportunity. There is also a lot of flexibility when it comes to managing working hours, making work-life balance a top priority. Great benefits beyond just health insurance. Plusgrade is a very ambitious company, which adds on to the excitement of working here. One last thing is I feel that my voice is heard, as senior management and ELT is continuously and actively seeking feedback on its leadership, its changes, and its future.

Cons

As someone that has been working here for a long time, I'll admit it has been hard to see the changes of how a <100 employees company operates versus how a company of nearly 1,000 employees operates, but it's the nature of a growing company. Change is not always bad!
