Pros
Nuromedia works mainly on research and innovation projects funded by national or international agencies (EU/BMBF/BMWI/...), this gives a lot of freedom on how to realise the proposed contributions.
Cons
However, the projects in which Nuromedia participates are spread over a wide range of applications and it is hard to see a common goal or strategy how the results of the projects should lead to commercial products. Also many of the proposal only vaguely define the project contributions and even the project managers don't have a clear goal on the outcome of the project.
