Pros

The opportunity to learn and advance in your career at an accelerated rate. Benefits, salary, training is beyond expectations. The supervisors, team leads, mentors, and co-workers are excellent at helping when you need help. Management seems to really care about their employees and gives them every chance to excel at their job. The training opportunities alone are outstanding.

Cons

Lots of training and courses in the beginning of the program. The only downsides would be that Government workers like to get to work really early in the morning :). In the beginning things can be overwhelming but you are learning the basic skills to be an advanced competency BFM Lead.

Pros

Most people in my department leave by 4 or 5 pm and have every other Friday off. The benefits are amazing, as will be for most government jobs. Easy work that is not very demanding.

Cons

This is a program for people that have side projects that they want to pursue. It gives you an easy job with amazing job security and allows you to have you personal time to yourself. If you are seeking an opportunity that challenges you and goes beyond clerical work and spending most of your days chatting with coworkers or waiting for papers to be sent to you, then this is not for you.
