Live Productions: While we do host bi-monthly Townhall events, they are not corporate team-building events broadcasted from Ottawa every Friday. Instead, they involve live participation from various locations across North America, including Ottawa. We appreciate your feedback on this, and we will strive to ensure that our communication about these events is clear.
Code Reviews: Our code review process is designed to ensure the quality of our work. Like many tech companies, we believe in collaboration and constructive feedback. We'll continue to assess and refine our processes to improve efficiency.
Employee Celebrations: The acknowledgment of a newcomer's achievements, like submitting their first MR, is part of our effort to foster a supportive and positive culture. We understand that individual preferences may vary, and we'll take your feedback into consideration as we work to improve our overall team dynamics.
Feedback and Check-Ins: We are committed to providing regular feedback through check-ins and 1:1s. Unfortunately, if your tenure with us was brief, you may not have had the opportunity to experience the full extent of our feedback processes.
Turnover: We would like to clarify that our turnover in the engineering team is extremely low, especially in comparison to industry standard. We appreciate our team's dedication and strive to create an environment where everyone can thrive.
