Pros

I think that even for a job where you expect to work the crazy long hours during busy season, Wipfli does a great job at showing they care about the well-being of their employees during this time. I have constantly had different individuals throughout Wipfli reach out to me during busy season to see how I was doing mentally. Knowing that individuals care is a big part in being able to get through a stressful time of the work year. The catered lunches we receive during this time is also another example of showing that the Company cares about the well-being of their employees. It gives each office a great time to enjoy some quality lunches and bring social interaction to each of the offices. I also think Wipfli is a great Company to work for outside of busy season, when the hours slow down and work is less stressful. It's encouraged to take time off, reset, and enjoy the summer weather. Wipfli understands that everyone needs to hit the reset button after a long, stressful period of time. I interned the summer before I started full-time as an associate, and sometimes Employers during internships like to play-up the Company and not always show it's true colors. I can honestly say that during my time as an intern and when I started full-time this year, the way I have been treated, the culture, the workplace environment, and the overall caring of Wipfli has been consistently great the entire time.

Cons

Like any job in public accounting, the hours are long and they can be stressful.

Pros

- good work life balance - decent benefits - definitely not the best or even amazing, but not the worst - upgraded fertility benefits to Progyny

Cons

- low salary - misrepresent benefits - they love talking about the benefits they have but beware of the "fine print". For example, they say there is a 401k match but the match vests over years (never heard of this before coming to Wipfli. They say unlimited PTO but every year your manager determines how many hours of PTO you can take in a year and those PTO hours include statutory holidays and sick days. They say fertility benefits but they give you 1 smart cycle with Progyny. - Zero diversity. It is 2026 and everyone looks the same. And all of senior leadership are white males with a few token white females thrown in there for good measure. - No clear direction of where the company is headed. - No communication between departmetns and no visibility on what services Wipfli provides so that everyone is constantly scrambling to find clients rather than sharing existing clients with other service lines. - Have been seriously cutting budgets lately with team retreats and conference attendance being cut back a lot.
