Pros

Working at Kimley-Horn has been a rewarding experience, primarily due to the strong sense of community among colleagues. The supportive atmosphere fosters collaboration and teamwork, making it easy to build relationships and share ideas. Additionally, the company places a strong emphasis on professional development, providing numerous opportunities for growth through training programs, mentorship, and challenging projects. Employees are encouraged to pursue their career goals, making it a great place for those looking to advance.

Cons

Honestly, there are very few downsides to working here. The only potential drawback could be the fast-paced environment, which might not suit everyone, but it ultimately contributes to the dynamic and engaging workplace culture. Work-life balance can be tricky at times, but it primarily depends on individual work ethic. This is not the place for you if you are not motivated to grow, lack drive, or prefer more of an ‘auto pilot’ career

Pros

Huge upside with compensation, freedom, autonomy. Career velocity is probably the highest in the business. Lots of great people across the company who extend opportunities to others. Might be the best firm in the states to join after college to build experience and develop skills as a consultant. KHA provides a wonderful place for mid/senior level engineers who feel left behind in their careers.

Cons

Is tailored for engineers who function like bankers, can be harsh for engineers who like the technical side of the business. This is intentional.
