Pros

First, I'd like to say that I don’t usually put reviews up in Glassdoor, but I consider putting this one in as I read some negative reviews that I don't consider very fair as I have worked there for almost 2 years, so I know the best and the worst about the organization. When I read first time the review titled as: "Stopped Paying" I declined to proceed in interviewing with the company. Honestly no one wants to start in a company having this kind of problems. Nonetheless, I continued the process and got the job and I discovered that that problem was in 2013 for a few high level directors and that the problem was gone and every single month in the same day (25th) I got payed in time or in advance fairly, even bonus when was the time for them, so you shouldn't worry about this. About the "Chaotic" titled review, I think it's very extreme and strong one, there is a some truth in it which I have pointed out in the Cons section to be fair to myself 100% and to everyone who reads this review, but mostly it's a review with signs of bitterness more than an accurate review. For me, most important thing is to be objective in a way to help readers make a decision, depending on what they are looking for. Here are my pros: - I got the challenge and opportunity to work with very latest technologies/tools, which made me grow up a lot within the company, with a new brand project where I took a lot of responsibilities and I felt fulfilled. - There are a bunch of good professionals working in the IT teams, people with experience and expertise in different areas, so if are in a mood to learn, you will feel in a 6 months period that you have progressed a lot. - The interview process is not the easiest one, not the hardest one though, but they care a lot about this to ensure that the atmosphere continue being as is and no toxic people get in. - People will be very close to you if are to them too, the atmosphere even with other teams out of IT (design team, customer support team) is very good and healthy, they respect each other and if you want to be a person with a friendlier relationship is an easy step. They normally eat lunch together, cheer new joiners to join and feel part of the team, and for the social events you will have fun for sure. - They are flexible in certain aspects, I was living 90 min away approx and almost never getting in at a time sharp, I was responsible with my work and with the hours that my contract said and that was enough, they weren't strict with it which gave my flexibility in a daily basis. - They have some benefits like bike to work, medical insurance, pension plans, soda and coffee machine, healthy fruit weekly and so on, more or less like most of the companies in Ireland I'd say. - I have not been asked to work extra/hours or weekends. - Some of the projects are very interesting and challenging, I got fun when working on them. - Some of the people who I worked with became friends for, probably, life. That means a lot because when you are working, you can count with them for job related and non-job-related stuff, you can laugh and share things, and make the time you are working much more enjoyable. - They are really open to changes/improvements. If you have suggestions, they will listen to you, as if there are good or enough benefits, management will agree to it. - Team Leads. I think this is a very important point. These members are taking the team to the next level, putting them in stressful situations for each individual related to their weaknesses so they lose the fear and learn from those skills that before were the weakest points and become natural with time. In my case, I wasn't the best public speaker, so I got involved in many interview processes, presentations and demos, having the support of them and training me to grow in that and improve myself further than just coding. What I can say from my experience is that I did a big progress in that time, I noticed that I have grown up in many aspects and I am very happy of that step in my life.

Cons

- Management stuff. There are people from the management team that are taking decisions in the air, without analysing and studying the solutions so that lead into problems when developing or progressing in the project's life and you realize that there are inconsistencies in place. (They were doing internal improvements and big changes about this matter, with roadmaps and action plans to channel this known problem in some projects) - I strongly think that social events are very healthy for companies where people work close to each other. I would say the social events in Cubic should be more frequent, to ensure that the ecosystem and relations keep up working softly. They do events, such as summer BBQ, Christmas dinner and pizza lunch, but personally I think it is nice to have a social event every 2-3 months top. And relaxing area could improve too, they used to have a ping pong table but due problems with space (they are growing incredibly fast) they had to remove it temporally, although I am sure as soon as they fix the space problem it will come back. (Not sure if this is cons or pro, I guess it's neutral) - Remote Work. One of the other reviews talk about this topic and I would like to be clear here. If you are thinking about working remotely, I don't think this is a company for you, they prefer hiring people to be in house and they are clear about this, so I don't think there is place to confusions. Another thing is working from home if there is a public transport strike, you fill like staying or to extend holidays, they do allow this, I got no problems for that.
