Benefits are great and the salary is competitive considering the location. It's a nice place if you like the outdoors and especially if you have a family.

The weight that is placed on hierarchy. Leadership pays little attention to the character and behavior of employees and/or is easily swayed by deceptive people who portray themselves as model employees who are only intent on climbing the ladder whilst wreaking havoc on the people around them. I watched ruthless employees discredit and devalue their coworkers and then rise to favor. I also watched some really amazing people who had deep integrity and wanted to effect change end up leaving because of the caustic environment. I left because I could no longer bear working with someone who discredited and humiliated others on a daily basis. I spoke with HR, I spoke with mediators, I spoke with a representative supporting my employee group and no serious action was ever taken. Shame on you from all of us who came to you, and all of us you ignored.
