When I worked there, my team was required to use an application that had a very high learning curve and was not on trend. With other options available, my manager insisted we all use this tool, simply because it was the one he used. Very few of us liked using it. Also, it was a startup then and, even though upper management kept telling us things were good, they laid people off in already overtaxed departments. Finally, to be fair, they started just a year before Covid hit. Since their offering is an investment application for advisors who continued to work from home, I don't see why they had to cut back so much, but they didn't let us know that information.
