Pros

-Working on projects that help further strengthen communities, and drive change in collaboration with community members, local organizations, and funders - Focus on a range of key content areas-including health equity, community development, youth development, and housing-all with a systems change and community engagement lens -Collaborative and supportive team environment -Many opportunities for growth and professional development, internally and funds to engage in external trainings -Great 401k and healthcare plan, along with an annual wellness reimbursement benefit (i.e., could be used to pay for or subsidize your gym membership)

Cons

Could be an adjustment for someone who has not worked for an organizaiton with a billable hours structure, must have an oganized way of planning and carrying out your work

Thank you for your feedback and support of our work. We are only as good as the people who we work with, our community. I feel very lucky that I can work with you and your colleagues. Needless to say it's been a crazy year, but we have been successful together and am looking forward to the great things we can accomplish in 2021. As I've written before, the professional services industry may not be for everyone, but you if you want to be helping to transform government, foundations, and nonprofit organizations cross country-this is a great spot to be in. So many exciting things going on. More advice and great ideas are so appreciated. Thank you again.

Pros

We have a great team of professionals here at Community Science. The company provides ample opportunities for professional growth. The leadership truly cares about the well-being of its staff.

Cons

It's a very fast paced work environment. However, senior management is trying to do everything they can to help staff manage the workload.

Thank you for comment and recognizing that we try to manage the chaos of our world, especially this year, with the well-being of our community and company coming first. The company is only people who work together on a common mission, the office space, the equipment, or the logo. Family has always come first. We try hard to practice what we preach. Thank you for how you and your colleagues have turned 2020 into a successful year for us in the differences that we have made in organizations and communities across the country.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you feel so positively about our company and community. It is so good to know that you see the company leadership as caring and how we strive to live our mission and values every day. Couldn't do it without you. Yes, it is fast-paced and the challenges of meeting client needs, deadlines, proposals, professional development opportunities are all part of daily experience. I guarantee that work at Community Science is not boring. If you're looking for a low-key 9-to-5 job where every day is predictable, this might not be a good fit for you.
