      Long hours and can finish late alot but this can happen with any ambulance service.

      Pros

      Having spent several years working at BA, I can genuinely say the transformation over the past two years has been remarkable. The change in management has made a huge difference, there’s better equipment, more opportunities for career progression, and a much stronger focus on staff welfare and communication. Honestly, I don’t think the outstanding CQC rating would’ve been possible if a certain senior manager were still in place! It's evident that some of the reviews on here are from ex staff who attempt to destroy all this progess.

      Cons

      Everyone in healthcare is dealing with the challenges of a broken NHS system, but BA feels like how the NHS used to be 10 years ago great camaraderie, supportive colleagues who look out for each other, and managers who genuinely seem to care. You can progress from PTS to frontline and all the way to becoming a paramedic – and it’s fully funded! The only downside is that once you reach paramedic level, there’s not much progression beyond that unless you go into management. It would be great to see a Specialist Paramedic training route introduced.
