In 1900, John A. Zurn sets up shop in his mother’s backyard to produce valves that prevent storm and waste water from flowing back into a building’s drainage, on a patent purchased from the Erie City Iron Works. Two decades later, father and son Leopold and Louis Katz Louis found Elkay Manufacturing in Chicago, with a vision of manufacturing the highest quality sinks and providing exceptional service to its customers.
