During Pride Month, we’re reflecting on what it means to build an environment where every colleague can bring their authentic selves to work. At GE HealthCare, our Pride Alliance Colleague Resource Group (CRG) works to uphold this commitment. Emily Fox, a Region Product Manager for our Cardiovascular Ultrasound portfolio, is a powerful example of this. Meet Puja Patel, a Product Sales and Application Specialist in Australia. One of Puja’s most meaningful contributions at GE HealthCare was conducting post-installation applications for a mammography machine at a small clinic in Northern New South Wales. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from the clinic’s team and patients underscored the tangible impact of this work. “Knowing that the technology enhanced diagnostic capabilities and improved patient care gave me a profound sense of purpose and fulfillment,” she says. Outside of work, Puja is an avid reader who loves exploring and volunteering. Her dream is to travel and see the Northern Lights. Reflecting on Earth Day last month, we're reminded that patient and planet health are two sides of the same coin. GE HealthCare focuses on circularity, a model that includes repairing, refurbishing, and recycling. By doing this, we make sure that every piece of GE HealthCare equipment has a longer, more sustainable lifespan. Our latest milestones include: Repair: Collected over 16,000 parts and repaired over 81,000 more. Reuse and recycle: Reused 428 MR magnets and diverted 8,182 metric tons of material. By embedding these principles, we continue to conserve resources to protect the health of future generations. At GE HealthCare, we believe that a healthier planet is just as important as healthy patients. To celebrate Earth Day, we’re spotlighting our Lifecycle Solutions team, who continue to make a conscious effort to extend the life of GE HealthCare’s equipment. From environmental conscious design to circular product strategies, this team works hard to extend the life of imaging equipment that current customers already own. So far, we have successfully reused 7.8M kg of recovered units, recovered 474,943kg of landfill weight, and recovered 8,050 kg of system units.
