Mar-Jac Poultry slaughters and processes chickens for sale to foodservice businesses. The company operates a hatchery, as well as a feed mill, manufacturing plants, and cold storage facilities. Mar-Jac contracts with some 250 poultry farmers in northeastern Georgia who contract with the company it raise its chicks and broilers. It processes 350,000 chickens per day. The company operates primarily in the US, but it also serves international customers. The company was founded in Gainesville, Georgia, in 1954.
