CalPortland supplies building materials such as ready-mix concrete, aggregates (sand, gravel, and rock products), asphalt, and cement. It also offers precast building materials and performs road construction and earth moving services for clients such as CalTrans. CalPortland is active in western US and Canada; its operations include more than 60 ready-mix concrete plants in addition to about 25 aggregate yards and plants, more than a dozen cement plants and transfer terminals, three asphalt plants, and five building materials distribution facilities in Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, as well as Alberta and British Columbia. CalPortland is owned by Taiheiyo Cement.
