Description Beaufort Memorial Hospital provides medical, surgical, and therapeutic services in southern South Carolina. The not-for-profit community hospital is a regional referral center providing inpatient acute care and outpatient services. The 201-bed flagship facility offers specialties in areas including cancer treatment, cardiology, emergency medicine, mental health, rehabilitation, and obstetrics/gynecology. Beaufort Memorial Hospital operates the Keyserling Cancer Center and New River Cancer Center through its affiliation with the Medical University of South Carolina. It also offers outpatient care at more than 15 satellite facilities throughout Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton counties. The medical center opened its doors in 1944.
