Ellis Hospital Snapshot
Schenectady-based Ellis Hospital serves the residents of New York's capital area. Its main hospital facility with some 380 beds provides services including diagnostic, primary, emergency, surgical, and rehabilitative care. The hospital is also home to centers of excellence in the treatment of and care for heart and cardiovascular ailments, cancer, women's health issues, stroke-related problems, and behavioral health concerns. The hospital also operates the Ellis Center (a more than 80-bed nursing home), the Bellvue Woman's Center, and the satellite outpatient clinic Ellis Health Center. Ellis Hospital operates academic programs to prepare students for careers in health care and nursing.
