Pride Manufacturing Company sees its own pile of green when it looks at a putting green. The company, which does business as PrideSports, is comprised of two units: Pride GolfTee and Softspikes. It is the world's largest manufacturer of wooden golf tees and Pride GolfTee uses only Maine white birch to make them. Softspikes manufactures plastic cleats for golf shoes. The firm also offers golf accessories, including club grips, cleat caddies and brushes, divot repair tools, and ball markers. Father and son Fletcher and Gene Pride founded Pride Manufacturing in 1930 to make wooden cigar tips. Sister company Trisport sells Pride GolfTee and Softspikes products in the UK.
