Description Although it's not a sure thing when you fly to southeastern Mexico that Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR) is running the airport, it's a good bet. The company operates about 10 airports in the southeastern region of Mexico, including facilities in Cancún, Cozumel, Mérida, Oaxaca, and Villahermosa. The Cancún airport is the company's busiest. ASUR gets most of its revenue from aeronautical services, such as processing of aircraft and passengers, for which airlines are assessed fees based on traffic. In addition, the company manages the leasing of retail space at its facilities and collects fees from third-party service providers.
