Job Responsibilities

Assist the research team in preparing daily, weekly and thematic research materials, including market updates, sector summaries, company news tracking and data compilation.

Conduct preliminary research on listed companies, industries and market trends.

Collect, organize and verify public information from company announcements, financial reports, exchange filings, industry reports, databases and reputable news sources.

Support analysts in financial data collection, peer comparison, valuation analysis, earnings tracking, and the preparation of charts, tables and presentation materials.

Monitor market movements, policy developments, company announcements and major industry events, and summarize key implications in a clear and timely manner.

Assist in drafting daily morning briefs, research notes, meeting minutes, company profiles, investor presentation materials and internal briefing documents.

Participate in company meetings, investor calls, roadshows or industry events when required, and prepare follow-up notes or summaries.

Maintain internal research databases, stock lists, event logs and report archives to support the department’s ongoing research workflow.

Work closely with senior analysts, the sales team and other internal departments to provide timely research support.

Perform other ad hoc research, data and administrative tasks assigned by the department.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Science, Engineering, Data Analytics or other related disciplines.

0–2 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment research, securities, asset management, corporate finance, consulting, financial media or related fields is preferred. Fresh graduates with strong learning ability and genuine interest in financial markets will also be considered.

Basic understanding of financial statements, valuation concepts, capital markets and listed company analysis.

Strong interest in Hong Kong, China and global equity markets, with the ability to follow market news and identify key investment implications.

Good analytical, logical thinking and information-processing skills, with attention to detail and a responsible working attitude.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Knowledge of Bloomberg, Wind, iFinD, Python, VBA or other data tools would be an advantage.

Good written and spoken Chinese and English. Fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin is preferred.

Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks under deadlines and communicate clearly with team members.

Prior internship or work experience in securities firms, research houses, investment banks, asset managers, listed companies or consulting firms would be an advantage.

Candidates with SFC licence qualification, CFA / FRM progress, CPA background or other relevant professional qualifications will be considered favourably.
