Ladies Fashion - Product Developer
About Us
We are a contemporary Hong Kong-based ladies' lounge and sleepwear brand dedicated to blending effortless comfort with simply and timeless aesthetics. We believe what you wear at home should make you feel comfortable and at peace. As we expand our collections, we are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented and hands-on Part-Time Fashion Product Developer to bring the brand’s visions to life, from initial concept to the final production-ready sample.
Role Overview
In this role, you will bridge the gap between creative design and technical execution. We are looking for a unique hybrid professional: someone who possesses the technical rigor to manage sourcing, fits, and vendor communication, but who can also manually freehand sketch initial concepts, and can then take our detailed callouts and translate this on the sketches and into the tech packs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manual Sketching: Translate design visions into manual sketches. Create hand-drawn illustrations and detail callouts to communicate design intent before converting them into technical specifications.
- Tech Pack Development: Build and maintain comprehensive tech packs including detailed construction notes, and measurement charts.
- Sourcing & Material Management: Source fabrics and trims that align with the brand
- Fit & Sample Tracking: Lead/assist fit sessions, analyse garment drape and construction, take clear fit comment notes, and track samples to ensure deadlines are met.
- Vendor Liaison: Communicate daily with factory partners and suppliers (local and regional) to troubleshoot production issues and ensure quality standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Around 5 years of experience in fashion product development or technical design. Experience in intimate apparel, sleepwear, or lightweight knits/wovens is highly preferred.
- Artistic Skill: Strong manual sketching ability. You should be able to quickly and accurately sketch garments by hand to capture drape, lace placement, or construction details.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of garment construction, pattern making, fabric properties, and grading.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Excel for tech pack creation.
- Language & Communication: Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a strong advantage
- Location: Must be based in Hong Kong and legally eligible to work without a visa.
