You will lead and build out our Hong Kong sourcing operation
This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the CEO (based at US HQ)
Responsible for establishing and scaling the HK sourcing office from the ground up
Build and lead a sourcing team of 5–6 members

Brings deep knowledge of the Asia sourcing landscape

Job Description
Establish, scale, and manage the HK sourcing office as a strategic hub for Asia-Pacific operations
Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing sourcing team of 5-6 members in Hong Kong
Define office infrastructure, workflows, and operating protocols to support rapid, quality-driven production
Serve as the senior sourcing leader and primary point of accountability for all HK-based sourcing activity.
Identify, onboard, and manage a diversified portfolio of new and existing vendors and factories across the region
Lead comprehensive vendor assessment across capabilities, capacity, compliance, quality standards, and pricing competitiveness
Establish and own the vendor tiering system, including preferred supplier programs and partnership development tracks
Align vendor relationships with broader sourcing strategy, ensuring continuous improvement and long-term scalability
Own end-to-end product development and production processes from initial concept through bulk delivery
Partner closely with design and merchandising teams to translate creative direction into manufacturable, cost-effective product
Drive seasonal PD calendars, ensuring all milestones from proto to TOP to bulk delivery are met with precision
Oversee production schedules, capacity planning, and risk mitigation to support on-time delivery and speed-to-market goals
Lead identification and qualification of vendor partners for both branded and private label production, recognizing distinct requirements of each
Develop a strategic vendor matrix that segments and matches supplier capabilities to product categories and brand standards
Ensure private label production meets company standards for quality, cost, and speed while maintaining brand integrity
Act as the senior liaison and bridge between Hong Kong, China, and U.S. teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution
Ensure alignment across sourcing priorities, product timelines, and brand execution standards
Ensure all products and vendors meet company safety, quality, and compliance standards
Oversee factory audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action processes
Build and maintain executive-level reporting on vendor KPIs including cost, quality, delivery, and compliance performance
Provide regular strategic updates and sourcing market intelligence to leadership
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Fashion, or related field; advanced degree is a plus
Minimum 10+ years progressive experience in apparel sourcing, with at least 3–5 years in senior leadership
Demonstrated experience building or leading a sourcing office or team in Hong Kong or broader Asia
Deep knowledge of apparel manufacturing, PD processes, costing, and vendor management across both branded and private label production
Fluent in English, Chinese and Mandarin; Cantonese proficiency is a strong advantage
Existing relationships with factories and vendors in the region are highly preferred
Strategic leadership abilities to build, inspire, and manage a high-performing sourcing team
Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable building from scratch, rolling up sleeves, and driving results in ambiguity
Expert-level knowledge of the Asia sourcing landscape, factory capabilities, and supply chain dynamics
Continuous improvement and innovative problem-solving mindset
Regular business trips to China and Southeast Asia required
