About the Position

You will be responsible for:
Plan and assign daily work to technicians to keep the lab running efficiently

Supervise technicians performing sample preparation and other laboratory tasks

Conduct chemical testing, sample preparation, and instrument operation as directed by the Section Manager / Senior Chemist

Review, verify, and approve results in the laboratory reporting system

Train and support Technicians and Senior Technicians

Perform routine instrument maintenance, calibration, and general housekeeping

Participate in training to expand your skills across additional preparation and testing methods

Complete calculations, prepare reports, and review quality control (QC) data according to work instructions

Prepare samples for method validation and perform related calculations

Enter data and perform calculations for measurement uncertainty when required

Support method development when needed

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong interest in building a career in a professional laboratory environment

Good computer skills (essential)

Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and HOKLAS requirements

Good English and Chinese communication skills (written and spoken)
Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline

Minimum 5 years’ relevant laboratory experience

Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and strong problem-solving skills

Candidates with more experience will be considered for the Senior Chemist level
