The Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies (the ‘School’) is looking for a high-calibre individual to join the School’s Research Postgraduate Team. The appointee will serve as a senior member of the Team, supporting the School’s leadership in planning, managing, and executing core operations of research degree and professional doctorate programmes. Key responsibilities include:

• Take a functional leadership role in coordinating workflows, supervising team members and supporting staff training and development;
• Coordinate collaborations with Chinese Mainland and overseas university partners, including multi institution joint programmes;
• Oversee admissions, student progress administration, thesis examinations, graduation processes, and quality assurance matters;
• Liaise with internal and external parties, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational continuity in research postgraduate studies;
• Handle complex student cases, complaints, and disciplinary matters with sound judgement;
• Provide secretarial support to academic committees and prepare policy papers, reports, and submissions;
• Occasionally travel to Chinese Mainland and overseas; and
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Possession of a higher degree will be an advantage;
• At least ten years’ solid administrative and supervisory experience, preferably in higher education;
• Proven ability to manage complex cases, interpret policies, and support governance processes;
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills; high accuracy and professionalism;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
• Good IT proficiency; experience with statistics and admissions data will be an advantage;
• Knowledge of postgraduate regulations and hands on experience in research degree education, especially in cross institutional collaboration, will be a strong advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
