The incumbent is responsible for providing timely and effective technical support to internal users by troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues. This role ensures the smooth operation of IT systems, including email management, hardware maintenance, software installation and network configuration. The position also involves monitoring server performance, maintaining accurate IT records and collaborating with the IT team to support ongoing projects, all while delivering excellent customer service across multiple office locations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily IT support to internal users, including troubleshooting hardware, software and networking issues.
- Provide support for email system, including user account creation, troubleshooting and software updates.
- Perform hardware replacement and upgrades in case of device failure.
- Install, configure and update software and applications as needed.
- Configure and maintain network equipment including switches, routers and Wi-Fi devices.
- Monitor and perform routine checks on servers to ensure system stable.
- Handle ad hoc IT requests efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support requests and solutions provided.
- Collaborate with other IT team members and assist with IT projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma or above in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in technical support, desktop support or network administration.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Certified or equivalent are a plus.
- Experience with hardware and software support (Windows, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, etc...).
- Good knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting (LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with server monitoring and basic administration tasks.
- Ability to work independently and travel to different office locations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused, approachable and responsive to user needs
Work Location: Discovery Bay
