Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in nursing
- Registered with the Hong Kong Nursing Council
- Possess a valid Practising Certificate
- Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical bedside experience in an acute care medical-surgical ward,
and or Old aged Homes
- minimum of 3 years of clinical supervision experience in post-secondary education
- Commitment to student-centered learning and professional development
- Prior teaching or supervision experience in clinical education is highly desirable
- Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Good command of English and Chinese
Job Responsibilities:
- Student Supervision: Provide clinical teaching and supervision, clinical skill coaching, offer
constructive feedback and mentorship to nursing students during their clinical practicums.
- Deliver bedside teaching, demonstrations, and clinical briefings in facilitating students’
application of theoretical knowledge to patient care in clinical practices.
- Performance Evaluation: Assess and evaluate students’ clinical competencies, skill
performance, and professional attitude.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce infection control policies, administer medications safely,
maintain aseptic technique, and adhere to strict healthcare and professional regulatory
compliance.
- Ensuring adherence to professional, ethical, and safety standards and professional clinical
practice of student nurses.
- Assist Clinical Coordinator in clinical coordination, scheduling, and all related matters in
preparing students before, during and after clinical practicums.
- Assist in organizing clinical mentoring training workshops and credentialing of clinical mentors.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team, clinical instructors, clinical mentors, and
healthcare teams to offer students a supportive learning environment.
- Coordinate and hold clinical sharing sessions and feedback meetings of students and clinical
mentors with clinical agencies.
- Maintain clinical records on all students and assist in compiling applications for EN enrollment
from NCHK.
- Assist in teaching and practicing nursing skills in classroom and /or laboratory settings.
