Netstat provides information and statistics about protocols in use and current TCP/IP network connections. (The name derives from the words network and statistics.) It is available on Unix, Unix-like, and Windows NT-based operating systems. Parameters used with this command must be prefixed with - not by /. You can use the NETSTAT command to check the operation of local ports to see if they are configured properly and if they are receiving data.
