Interview
I interviewed in January. They wanted to fill the role by mid-February. As of April, they have still not filled the position. Late 2023 and early 2024 have been the strangest job market I've seen in my 24-year career. There are more available, high-performing senior-level creatives looking for work than I have ever seen at one time. I had 5 interviews with 8 people. Everyone was very nice, but I was asked the same questions in each interview. This combined with the fact that they have not filled the position after multiple rounds and candidates in the richest talent market for creatives says a lot about why they have process problems.
My guess: They don't trust answers from each other, and they are looking for reasons not to act rather than find reasons to go into action. The whole interview process seemed like they were going to do the same exercise over and over til they found something they didn't like. I felt like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.
