Given the limited time of around 20 mins, I solved the question and interviewer specified that I am very close to the solution he was expecting and worked out with me on what he is expecting, which I could have done better if he explains the problem well but because he joins 10 min late then because he was late, leaving me only 15 mins to solve the problem then says the room he booked is gone so he needs to hang up now. 1st of all interviewer (Matt) joins 10 min late. Then he asks me to explain about myself (which he was no even listening) he asked just so he can spend another 10 mins on the set up he needs to do. Then he gave me a coding problem and because he was late and we needed to save on time, he didn't even explain the problem well enough. When I ask questions to get more details on question, he didn't explain well enough specifically about certain another user defined functions which I need to rely on. When I was done on solving the problem he was not satisfied He mentioned that I am very close to the solution (as he was expecting an infinite while loop while per me the solution was to run a loop 10 times) and at last when I realized what he needs so I said ok, I will use while loop and let me complete it, so he says sorry the room I booked is gone and I needs to go now. Without even saying another word he drops out. I provided the solution and interviewer agreed that I am close to the solution, As he was late, he didn't even explain the question very well and didn't give me anough time to fix as per his expectations, I was expecting 2nd round but HR simply responds next day not to proceed ahead.
