I take time to think about everything I need to do and make a mental plan of what I am going to do each day. I find that it helps get started sooner and see what resources are needed to get the job done. Sometimes I finish a lot quicker than what I imagined and find I can get a lot more done than originally planned. With students I immediately redirect by calling class meeting at carpet or stopping all class activity in order to think of a solution to handle the issue or begin an activity
