It was an in-person interview, interviewer was nice and went well. There are a lots of coverages but the main questions are beginner-average level problems. Also a convenient place in Toronto downtown.

Interview
My most disappointing hiring experience ever. The process included an introductory call with the manager, a job history interview, a home assignment that I had a week to complete, a meeting during which I presented my solution, and an interview with the practice director. Everything took exactly one month and I passed with great feedback across the board, but never received an offer. For the next 2,5 months, they kept on updating me periodically about the status of my application changing: the duration of the contract they would offer me, business trips taking place on their end and delaying processing, senior leaders having doubts about me as a candidate (at this stage, no less!), and lastly, cherry on top, their pivot to trying to process a fixed-term offer for me via a contracting agency, which had been never discussed as a possibility. I think all of this speaks volumes to how disorganized the company must be internally. Needless to say, I felt disrespected left hanging like that, and I would have preferred a rejection at an earlier stage instead. Even though the hiring team was always apologetic, friendly and professional towards me, the whole process was a long and dreadful ordeal.

Interview
There were two rounds of interview, one was behavioral and one was the case study. The behavioral was really simple and friendly, just asked a few questions regarding team experiences. The case study itself was not hard to understand but the manager that was going through my case study interview was not really clear about what he wants and rejected me the next day after the interview.
