Beware of Edward Jones. They offer you a salary barely above the poverty level for two years. The return on investment is not there to be a FA. Very unprofessional recruitment process. They rant on the difficulty of the job continually. Maybe the job is hard, but why try to scare away candidates. There is a 60% dropout rate at year three for FAs. These people have run through their life savings trying to live and hang in there before finally giving up. There are better ways to earn a living. They do dangle the carrot of limited partnership potential in the out years. But it is awarded...I suspect through a political selection process. Also they do not reimburse interview travel or meals.
