I received an email a week prior to my interview, and it was the usual template asking for my availability. The email had stated that this is a video interview and I gave my availability. The interview was scheduled for next week, and no other email came to tell me whether it was via Zoom, Team, Google, etc. and I had to email the recruiter the next week asking for confirmation.
On the day of the interview, I got an email and I was told that the interview was going to be via the phone and that they were going to call soon. The phone call came 15 minutes before the interview was originally scheduled for.
During the interview, I had introduced myself but the recruiter was asking for information about things I had already mentioned, multiple times. I was then asked, bluntly, "who made you do these projects?", in which I was a bit confused and replied back saying that they were my own to learn - this was asked multiple times back-to-back. I reworded the question in my own head to better understand because it was going nowhere, and I eventually gave a STAR type of answer to state why I worked on those projects. I was then asked how many years of experience I had, and I replied saying zero but I had been working on projects to learn more about the role and expand on my interests.
After stating I had no work experience, for a job requiring one year, the call was ended within 30 seconds. I was told that I would get an email the next day to let me know if they could continue. I heard nothing afterwards. The call also finished before the original time slot for the interview.
