Did anyone feel like going back after parental leave? My parental leave is coming to an end and I love spending time with my spouse and kid. I dread going back to the 24/7 biglaw life. I didn’t mind when childless but now I’m afraid I’ll tell a client/partner/opposing counsel to eff off when they ask something unreasonable (like the usual Friday night dump). I looked elsewhere during my during leave but nothing even brought a spark. I haven’t hit FIRE number yet - maybe Coast FIRE.

Lol, no. Going back is SO difficult. I am always questioning whether this job is worth it.
Lol. I posted this more than 2 years ago. It’s been a rough 2 years… I stuck it out in BL and will be going on my parental for my second kid soon. I will definitely use that time to look for something else again.
