Beware of shady Indian recruiters using fake Anglo names. This is not a new trend and has been going on for decades. Not only is this unprofessional but it reeks of fraud and scammer behavior. I just called out one such clown on LinkedIn for doing this after receiving an email from a "Jessie Willson" only to look him up on LinkedIn and finding out that his real name is Ritesh operating out of India.

Or the ones from Bangladesh or Nigeria. Same issue, very Anglo sounding names, but look closely and very few if any connections. I love the fact that my LI connections want to help me by reposting my skills and how I would be an asset, but every post seems to draw out the scam recruiters. I wish LinkedIn would police this better..
Nigerians very commonly have Anglo sounding first names because we were forced to have one during British colonization (less than 70 years ago) and some people just never stopped doing it to their kids. The recruiter may still be fraudulent but just pointing out a Nigerian with an Anglo first name is actually very common, nearly everyone in may parents generation has one. They may go by a Nigerian name in personal life (which is usually their middle name) but by their Anglo name in work settings (which is usually their legal first name)
2 Indians contact me yesterday, beware. It’s a scam

Yup. All fake scammers. Want to charge you to review your resume or find a job. All resume writers do is tell ChapGPT, which is free, to revise the resume. All scams.
they do it so you will reply.
Oh I'll reply to them alright by calling them crooked moderchods followed by getting their domains blacklisted for spamming on places like Spamhaus.
