t seems like a lot of schools push teachers to give students every possible chance to pass, even when they don’t turn in work, skip class, or put in very little effort. At what point is it okay to let a student fail? Do you think teachers have enough freedom to give the grade a student actually earned, or is there too much pressure from administrators and parents to keep graduation rates up?

4 more days to retirement! Anyone else retiring this year? I did not plan to retire but when you look at the numbers, there’s no reason not to retire if you meet the formula. I had been going to retirement seminars annually for the past 5 years, wanted to make it to 30 years but…why? Working additional years does not give you much more in terms of monthly pension check so… Hope y’all have an easy end of year!

For the third time this school year, a parent is choosing to take their child out of school during an awards ceremony since their child did not earn an award. Parents, get a grip. Your child is going to face these situations at some point in their life. They will be just fine. Have you experienced something like this?

I went to college for my education and spent tens of thousands of dollars to become a teacher. And this last weekend I took a really hard science of reading test so that I could continue teaching. But I’m seeing so much support of homeschooling. People think that teachers are bad and indoctrinating children. But if a parent who doesn’t even have a college degree can do my job, what am I even doing? Why did I spend tens of thousands of dollars for this degree if anybody can do my job?

So embarrassing but the other day I was trying to get a group of friends to pay attention to something I wanted to say and I accidentally said "Eyes on me" 😅😂 does your teacher speak ever leak into your personal life at the wrong time?
