Does Gartner drug test? 👀

Recently I had a project fully approved only for a new stakeholder to step in who hasn't seen anything but has the final say. It’s frustrating to have to explain the whole process again just to keep the work moving forward. How do you handle it when a powerful new person shows up late?Do you start over for them or just give a quick summary?
I was hit with a PIP this week so I'm planning my exit strategy, just in case. I'm an AE with 6 YOE. Are companies hiring salespeople right now, or am I looking at a multi-month search to find something decent?
I spent a long time thinking that moving into management was the obvious next step in a sales career and then watched several of the best reps I knew become mediocre managers almost overnight, and it made me rethink the whole ladder. How do you think about career growth in sales and do you feel like the path to individual contributor ceiling is clearly defined at your company or is management treated as the only legitimate move up?
I’m not sure what I’m doing. I’m 9 months into a new sales job and everyday I have a feeling of incompetence and straight up DOOM. I have a clear idea of what I’m suppose to be doing but keep falling on my face. Someone please tell me I’m not crazy, but does anyone else feel like they have no idea what they are doing?
How do you handle prospects who try to price-match your services? I had a potential client tell me flat out that they can get the same thing cheaper from one of our competitors. If that happens, do you actively defend your rates and explain the price difference, or do you accept it as a sign they aren’t the right fit and politely walk away?
Not in the US
Ask them to take some time to study for the test. 😂
No, we don’t.
Not that I know of.
