Has anyone moved from individual contributor to manager and wished they could go back? I'm looking at the opportunity right now and I'm just nervous to go to babysitting.
I'm curious. Do any of you have direct experience, either from the inside or because you actually followed through, with ultra low ball contracts? AMD seems to be the king these days. I had a recruiter ping me today about an AMD design role. The maximum rate hasn't been competitive for more than twenty years. I speculate that this is either fishing for what the market will accept or disingenuous due diligence to add or keep an H1. But does anyone have a case where they actually *know*?
I'm tired, depressed and exhausted from the continuous search for Junior job position. Parents are getting old and I feel like I'm dragging them down instead of supporting them. For the past year I have been looking for a job but met with either rejection or ghosting. I get freelancing jobs once in a while but they are not enough to pay the bills. So, if there is anyone that can help me get a job please don't hesitate. I'm in a dire situation right now.
I am feeling very burnt out but I cant afford to quit because of my mortgage. I feel like my salary has become a cage that I cannot escape. Anyone else feel trapped by life?
What's your goal for the next five years? Mine is to increase my salary by 50% and I actually think it's possible.
What's the university?
🤷... And?
