What dose it mean if I have a 2nd interview
The thing is I get interviews, but after I always get rejected is it the way I answer question or my personality?
Does anyone draw a complete blank at interviews? From the time they say "So tell me about yourself" I go into fight or flight mode. It as if they're asking me about someone else's life. They say don't try to memorize your answers, but I have no other choice. I sturdy all these stories and intro's about myself and still can't remember. I don't know what to do. I have had at least 4 interviews and at each one I rambled and didn't get the job.
Just read an article from Fortune about people feeling too burnt out to apply for jobs. Is that you? I get it. This paragraph really summed it up for me: "Compounding the immobility: job seekers are being ghosted at a three-year high, with more than half of applicants reporting no response from employers in the past year. Hiring experts connect the trend directly to AI-inflated application volumes overwhelming recruiters — the same feedback loop burning candidates out. [...]"
Have a second interview Thursday. Definitely not my first rodeo but the longer I go unemployed, the less confident I feel. That being said this company is specifically going to use the STAR interviewing Style. I've done my research on the history of the company, etc but I am finding it so difficult to memorize my answers in the STAR format, I'm going to have to use my notes. Tell me I'm not the only one struggling w/this 🙏🏻
I've read that the highest number of jobs get posted in Jan-Feb, followed by Sep-Oct. Jun-Aug is the second slowest period, followed by Nov-Dec as the slowest. Sure feels like it to me! You seeing the slowdown, too? Hang in there...
That you made a good enough impression that they want to explore further and dig more deeply into your experience and knowledge. Good luck.
That the first went well! Good job 👏
lol isn’t it obvious? It means you’ve moved on to the next step of the process
Depends on who you talked to first. More than likely they're going to ask you the same questions as the first but with some STAR questions thrown in.
Your resume checks out. You seem to have the right qualifications. It's time to introduce you to someone in the department you might be working for. Note that the second interview likely isn't the last. Make sure that you have the appropriate chat apps installed as the interview will likely be a video call.
