Do you like working at E*E*Trade

Serious question for advisors: when did some wholesalers start treating our calendars like open real estate? 😂 There’s a difference between offering value and basically informing me I’ll be attending a meeting. How do you all politely manage the overly aggressive vendor follow-up cycle?
I am 63 years old and have 30 years of Collections management experience working in banks . I currently have an individual contributor role job making $110,000 per year . Our office is only 5 people. I report to the owner . I've been here 3 years. I recently received a job offer of $110,000 for a Collections Manager for a Debt Collection law firm. They have a 401K plan but no match. My current job is very low stress , casual dress, and a very easy job. Is this new job worth the move ?
My gf and I have been dating for about a year now. She’s a nepo baby and I’m self made (not anywhere close to where she is but I live comfortably). I have a startup that’s eating up my money and rightfully so since it’s in the beginning stages. Gf is telling me she’s not happy that im not spending money on her or giving her the time she wants. I want to marry her but not anytime soon whereas she’s pushing it to be faster. Kind of worried she’s gonna make me choose between my career and her soon
I’ve started blocking focus time on my calendar and protecting it like a meeting. It felt awkward at first, but it’s helping. What’s one small productivity habit that actually works for you?
I’ve been thinking about whether “career growth” always needs to mean climbing higher, or if sometimes it just means finding a role that fits your life better. That mindset feels healthier to me. How do you define career progress now?
It was fine before Morgan Stanley took over. Now it's a drag for several reasons (on the employee side and client side). Obviously, doesn't apply for all. Those who were with ET before the acquisition understand.
I liked working at ETRADE but since it’s been acquired it’s not the same.
Hi
No- they don't seem to know what they are doing and things keep changing.
