Hi everyone! Does the dental field now feel that an Itero scan should take place at every recare visit? Also should this be forced into the 50-60 minute normal appointment time? Please help me understand this

we do it 1 a year, however if we are monitoring something, like grinding or clenching patterns we do it every 6 months, however, that is something we do at the end of the appointment while we wait for doctor to show up for their exam.
No, it shouldn’t be taken every recare visit, unless you are trying to monitor something. At my office we just do it for new patients and only if the recare patients haven’t had a scan over 2 years. I have 45 minutes to do the x-rays, scan, perio-chart, and cleaning + exam.
