Which programming language should I learn to break into technical roles related to AI. I have a non-technical consulting background and am currently looking to expand my skills.
I’m 33 and starting to feel like I’m aging out of consulting. This is a young man’s game and I now have 3 kids and am tired. Time to plot my exit to industry 🙂.
Anybody else have a harder time getting a job after leaving McKinsey than before you joined? Exited the firm over a year and a half ago and I have not been able to secure an offer ANYWHERE, despite having many interviews.
People being let go bc of comparing performance against peers is bs. upgrading the team? how come other rigorous fields (investment banking, medicine, Big Law, oil & gas engineering, trading firms, etc) don’t feel the need to do this, yet they have the right people the teams need every year 😂 consulting isn’t the most rigorous/difficult/or prestigious career. just say it’s for the greed of the firm, at the cost of unempathetically uprooting employees lives & at least you’ll be honest.
Sourcing some crowd wisdom. I have an IPhone 12 Pro Max. The battery is shot and so been contemplating getting a new 17 pro max. But people are telling me to wait till September when the new iPhone is released. Should I wait? I have some overseas personal travel coming up and would like a better phone camera and reliable battery but is it worth getting a new phone right now? Thoughts?
Lord, everything is an ad for AI now. And you think why newer generation is distrustful. These articles sickens me “The Workday executive recommends using AI to remove friction from everyday work life, while being careful not to stifle office relationships. And by freeing up more time from those tech efficiencies, employers have a window to thoughtfully strengthen relational skills among their staffers.”- from this article about loneliness.
Oh lordy lordy
