I joined Accenture in March. I am working as a loaned resource in a project. After joining, it is support project and work pressure is very high. I asked for roll off from the project to the Project PMO. He is not agreeing to release me. My DU agreed to that project to use me as a loaned resource until this year end. Can anyone advise.
I am getting released from billable role but client gave very good feedback. Hence Accenture manager wants to retain me. He is offering lead role in Accenture initiative for driving Automation for client. This is not billable role. And, I am desperately looking for promotion. The query is will this role helps me in getting promotion or u need to be in billable role? Secondly will this impact my changeability or VP in any manner? Pls guide🙏
its very difficult to get rolled off from a project here. You can ask your DU Lead to help but mostly for 18 months, you have to stay in one project if they arent releasing you. Thats been my experience
Which Technology you are working on if it’s SAP than I understand your pain. They will always put you as a loaned resource in burning projects. Best way to get out of loaned project is work only 9 hours and just shut down your laptop. If you missed deadline that is also fine. I know a AD who is really very bad don’t ever work under him.
When I was working in Accenture my lead guided me very well for the resourcing part and informed me about how they mislead and mistreat a loaned resource. As our project was near closure, the teams were getting disbanded and myself as a developer then was also given an option to choose a different project or to continue with my project and work for some other team as a loaned resource from my project. My lead was also getting new project and she was the one who asked me verrry strictly that join a project but never go to other project as loaned resource. Reason being Your appraisal and promotion is to be done from the project you are assigned to. The loaned resource as they work for some other project, during appraisal the team has no saying or decision factor for your feedback. And your actual project will say that you are a loaned resource how can we say you worked well in the project of the other team also you benefitted them not us.(Doesnt matter that they are the ones who sent you there) So I took other project and resigned after 2 months. These are some clever politics done to new employees and even old ones in the name of policies.

Whichever project that is in a burning situation right now will get allocated and most of the projects are in burning situation
